A conversation with Gary Vee and What We Learned
The event hosted consisted of a panel with various creators providing insight to aspiring creators. Our founder, Sabrina Velazquez, got the opportunity to hear some of the words that Gary Vee had to say about the future for creators.
Gary Vee has long influenced how brands, creators, and entrepreneurs approach attention, community, and the internet. The panel explored the strategies, mindset shifts, and hard-earned lessons from over 20 years of building businesses, investing in emerging platforms, and staying ahead of cultural change.
He dove into the growing role of AI in marketing, exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping content creation, consumer behavior, and the way brands build and scale in real time. For us at Roseway Collective, this conversation felt especially relevant. AI isnβt replacing the workβitβs transforming how the work gets done. From accelerating content production to enhancing strategy and audience insights, itβs becoming a tool that allows agencies to move faster while staying more intentional about creative direction.
Gary also spoke about the rise of live shopping on platforms like TikTok Shop and WhatNot, and how itβs redefining the intersection of content, commerce, and community in real time. Live shopping on social platforms is shifting e-commerce from a passive experience to an interactive one, where creators and brands can showcase products, engage directly with audiences, and drive instant conversionsβall within the same live environment.
As the creator economy continues to evolve, two themes stood out most from this conversation: the rise of AI and the acceleration of live shopping across platforms like TikTok Shop and WhatNot. Together, they signal a clear shift in how marketing worksβfaster, more integrated, and more directly connected to culture than ever before.
What makes NextGen so special is the community it creates. Beyond the panels and conversations, the event floor itself was filled with innovative brands creating immersive activations, interactive experiences, and opportunities for attendees to engage with products and storytelling in real time.
Roseway Collective attended for the third time with two of our clients: RESET Lab and Taudrey. One of the highlights for us was seeing Reset Lab onsite, offering B12 shots and wellness experiences for attendees throughout the event for their first big creator community event. We also loved seeing our client Taudrey bringing their permanent jewelry experience to Next Gen. Their activation created a personalized, interactive touchpoint for attendees as they were able to choose a chain for their bracelet and get it permanently welded on.
Being part of this event year after year has been an incredible opportunity to grow alongside some of the most forward-thinking voices in the industry, and weβre looking forward to continuing the conversation, building new partnerships, and bringing even bigger ideas into the future.
